Families in the Everett School District are hurting. Middle and high schoolers are reporting high rates of depression and anxiety. Parents are struggling to re-engage their kids in school after returning to in-person classes. Housing instability is at a record high with over 1500 students in the district experiencing some form of homelessness.

In order for students to thrive academically, they need stability, safety, and hope for their future. With my experience in policy addressing the root causes of homelessness, children's health, and education and my lived experience as someone who was homeless during my time as a student at Everett High School, I am ready to work with schools, families, and community partners to create a learning environment that will set students up for success.
